1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SecureVault, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
SecureVault provides a zero-knowledge encrypted memo storage service. We enable users to create, store, and share encrypted memos with end-to-end encryption. We do not have access to your unencrypted data or encryption passwords.
3. Account Registration
To use our service, you must create an account using OAuth authentication (Google or GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Password Security
IMPORTANT: You are solely responsible for remembering your encryption passwords. We do not store these passwords and cannot recover them. If you forget an encryption password, the associated data is permanently inaccessible.
4.2 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our service to:
- Store or transmit illegal content
- Attempt to bypass our security measures
- Interfere with the operation of our service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Reverse engineer our encryption algorithms
5. Intellectual Property
SecureVault and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SecureVault, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6. User Content
You retain all rights to the content you store in SecureVault. We claim no ownership over your encrypted data. Since we cannot access your encrypted content, we cannot be held responsible for it.
7. Payment Terms
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Refunds are available within 30 days of initial purchase. Subscription renewals are non-refundable.
8. Disclaimers
SecureVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from forgotten encryption passwords.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SecureVault, Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureVault, Inc. from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Seoul, Korea.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
